Sang from the Heart, Sire,
Dipped my Beak in it,
If the Tune drip too much
Have a tint too Red
Pardon the Cochineal —
Suffer the Vermillion —E. Dickinson (1059)

Marta Jovanovic (1978) has, after spending some time studying art at the Scuola Lorenzo de Medici in Florence, Italy, graduated from Tulane University in 2001. She lives and creates in Belgrade.

Her work strives for a symbiosis of the Renaissance classicism and American contemporary painting.

The verses of this 1059th poem by Emily Dickinson are the theme and invitation for this exhibition.
