September 6th - 16th, 2006
Recoil Performance Group will launch the GRENZSTADT project on June 6th, 7th, 13th and September 14th, 2006 – a media performance that connects Copenhagen and Belgrade with a direct audio-visual link. Musicians, players, and audiences will create an audio-visual performance that bridges 1330km and 5 borders between two cities. This year, they will merge O3ONE in Belgrade and the Culture Box in Copenhagen.
Every night after the performance, live, via internet streaming, DJs from Club Culture Box in Copenhagen:
6th September: TOM COLLINS, NED FLANDERS
7th September: MORTEN KAMPER (SIMPLICITY), MHM ONE (KILL YOUR TELLY)
13th September: BJARKE (TECH-NOLOGY), QUICKSTEP.
14th September: WAQAR, DANIEL KAARILL (ZERRBILD)
Part of the program is the video work by Rastko Lazić “Fragments”.
On September 11th, at 18:00h in O3ONE, a workshop on the topic “Internet as a Collaboration Tool” will be held on which will be explained the techniques used by the authors in the realization of the GRENZSTADT project.
The Recoil Group deals with generative art forms in which it combines performance and digital media, examining the relationship between digital technologies and the human body, our experience, and reality. In collaboration with Serbian artists, the GRENZSTADT project combines physically distant spaces and is a step forward in examining the nature of performance and real-time art.
