THIRD JUNIOR PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION

National Geographic Junior magazine has for the third time, organized a photographic competition for the primary school children. The competition is a part of the international photo competition with 18 countries taking part. Several tens of thousands of photos taken by children are submitted each year for the competition.

This year’s subjects were: „animals“, „landscape“, „people“ and „humor “. In each of these four categories, three winning prizes are awarded. Company „Stav“ and Publishing house „KLETT“ will award twelve authors, and authors of the four best photographs (one from each category) will be flown to Washington to the international competition’s headquarters, where all the best young photographers from each of the participating countries will take part in the final part of the competition. The absolute winner will then visit the headquarters of the National Geographic Society, where they will meet some of the world’s best photographers.

The exhibition will feature about twenty chosen works, it will be on from November 30th until December 5th, at O3ONE Gallery. As part of the exhibition, on 3rd December at 6 pm, a humanitarian auction of the chosen works will be organized. All proceedings from the auctioned photographs will be used to purchase a safety fence for the „Disneyland“ nursery situated in Voždovac Municipality.
