The seventh competition for authors of architectural works

The competition for authors of architectural works organized by “Novosti” is a continuation of the acclaimed, traditional award given to the best architects by “Borba”, which was established over half a century ago.
Highly praised “Borba” competition, from 2003 under the wing of the “Novosti”, is awarding the best works by professionals and by the students of architecture. As one of the most famous architectural competitions in the region, it selects the highest quality projects in domestic production and continuously works on an affirmation of the contemporary architectural expression. The awards for the best-realized project and the best project by a student are amongst the highest-ranking and acclaimed awards given in the field of architecture in the region.

The award for the best student project won Marija Blagojevic, and the best-realized project is new Sport Halle in Zrenjanin, worked by arch. Marjan Đulinac, arch. Borislav Petrović, arch. Ivan Rasković, arch. Aleksandar Tomić, and Arch. Nada Jelić.

105 works by students and 15 realized projects were entered into this year’s competition. From the 25th until the 31st of March, at O3ONE, 19 works selected by the panel of judges will be exhibited. The judges were: a member of the Academy Branislav Mitrović, Dr. Aleksandar Kadijević, architect Slobodan Maldini, last year’s winners Ksenija Bulatović, and Vesna Cagić Milošević, and Manojlo Vukotić, general director and the editor-in-chief of the Company “Novosti”.
