Slavica Marin is well known for her artwork in Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, and Italy. There is a specific note to her work in all domains she creates (painting, sculpture, objects, installations, fashion design) and that is, a close contact that she has with nature. Here art research is based on ecology, nature is her standing point for determining the purity of human spirit.
The exhibition will hold a series of photographs by Tomaž Lunder, taken during Slavica’s 70 kilometers marathon. Slavica began the marathon in front if her Gallery in Umag and she arrived at the opening of Istra’s Fair of Arts (Art exchange) in Rovinj, where her Gallery was the exhibitor.
Slavica’s performance is innovative because she uses a sport discipline as the art media. The photographs show her state and the reactions of the body during the run. Mood swings are visible, and they are the reflection of the muscle work, but also of the spiritual strength that moves the muscles.
