The awards ceremony on February 4th, at 19h
The competition was launched to raise the awareness of the citizens of Belgrade and Serbia about the necessity of changing the irresponsible ecological habits of people, which significantly contributes to the pollution of the environment in which we live.
For seven weeks of the competition, 264 photographs from all parts of Serbia arrived at the address of the Ecotopia Fund, which represents the testimony of our care for the environment in which we live. The photos show the garbage near containers, washing machines, refrigerators and furniture in the rivers and the fields, cars parked on green surfaces, plastic bags on the branches of trees.
The jury consists of Srđa Popović – founder of Ecotopia, Darinka Radojević – Advisor to the Director-General of the Kirilo Savić Institute for Environmental Issues, Zlata Kureš – Deputy Director of Beta Agency, Gordan Paunović – director of corporate social responsibility of B92 Fund and Nebojša Babić, the photographer who selected the best photographs.
In the category “Leave garbage wherever you find a nice place you leave garbage” the best photo was sent by Anica Zupunski from Novi Sad – “Only a little bit”. In the category Strange Fruit, a photo sent by Zarija Kocić from Vlasotince – “Tree of Truth”. In the category “It’s prettier on the Green”, Radmila Vulićević from Niš sent the best photo – “Even the jackdaw is amazed about what people do”. In “Free category”, Mina Delić from Belgrade sent the best photo – “Sisyphus job”. The jury decided that the photo with the highest number of votes on Facebook on Facebook – 842, sent by Ana Turk from Aleksinac for the category “Leave garbage wherever you find a nice place you leave garbage”, receives a special award – Nikon Camera.
The best four competitors received– Nokia Lumia 920, Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100, Samsung Galaxy S III, and HTC One X, will be hand to on Monday, 4 February 2013, starting at 19h at the O3ONE Gallery in Belgrade (Andrićev Venac 12, Belgrade). On this occasion, the annual Ecotopia Fund award will be presented –Green Star is the best in the field of environmental protection and marked four years of the fund’s work.
