Paper and rice, Chinese ink and stone, black and white, visible and invisible, colors and their shadows, introduce us to the artistic expression of traditional Chinese painting. The colors represented by black-and-white “rays” of primordial light, as well as the special sensitivity of the “absence of painted surfaces”, make the world the principle best illustrated by Lao Ci: “Know the white, yet keep to the black!”.
