Noir Festival

The exhibition of noir photographs “Double Identity” by Saša Šekoranja exclusively recorded for the Noir Festival, after the premiere presentation at the Zagreb Museum of Architecture, at the Sarajevo Film Festival and the Dubrovnik Summer Games, closes its tour in Belgrade from where the production started.

The photo exhibition “Double Identity” is a kind of remake of the scenes from famous noir films. However, this time in the roles of the unforgettable noir film characters and the stars of the golden Hollywood period, in front of the lens of the famous Croatian artist Saša Šekoranja, many famous actors from the region – Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia. Their childhood idols, “are giving” at the same time a new life to the greatest noir classics:

Ksenija Prohaska – as Marlene Dietrich from classic “Shangai Express”;
Sanja Vejnović and Zijad Gračić – as Jane Greer and Robert Mitchum in the classic scene from “Out of the Past”;
Marija Sekelez – in the role of Glorie Swanson in “Sunset Boulevard”;
Linda Begonja and Janko Popović Volarić – in the role of Robert Donat and Madeleine Carol from “The 39 Steps”;
Nataša Janjić – as irresistible Rita Hayworth from the classic “Gilda”;
Zana Marijanović (BiH) –  in the role of Hedy Lamarr from the movie “Dishonored Lady”;
Aleksandar Srećković (SRB) – as Maurice Ronte in classic “Elevator to the Gallows”;
Ivana Roščić and Goran Bogdan – movie couple Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart in noir hit “The Big Sleep”;
Iva Visković and Leon Lučev – in roles of Barbara Stanwyck and Freda MacMurray from “Double Indemnity”;
Milena Pavlović (SRB) – in the role of an unforgettable Bette Davis in classic “All About Eve”;
Leona Paraminski and Miran Kurspahić –in the role of Ray Milland and Grace Kelly in the noir classic “Dial M for Murder”;
Nataša Šolak, Gorica Popović and Slobodan Ninković (SRB) – in the role of a son James Cagney, wife Virginie Mayo and mother Margarete Wycherley in the movie scene “White Heat”;
Džana Pinjo (BiH) – Ava Gardner from the movie “The Killers”;
Bojan Navojec – Peter Lorre from classic “M”;
Enes Vejzović –in the role of Humphrey Bogart in the classic “Maltese Falcon”;
Jelena Perčin Marko Cindrić – Lana Turner  John Garfield in the scene from “The Postman Always Rings Twice”;
Nina Violić – in the role of Joan Bannett in the movie “The Woman in the Window”;
Edvin Liverić – as a character fo Charles Aznavour in the classic “Shoot The Piano Player”;
Ksenija Pajić and Frano Perišin – in the role of Janet Leigh and Orson Welles in the movie “Touch of Evil”;
Iva Štrljić (SRB) – Marilyn Monroe in “The Asphalt Jungle”;
Goran Navojec – Orson Welles in the greatest noir classic “Citizen Kane”;
Rakan Rushaidat and Radovan Ruždjak – as “Complete Strangers” Farley Granger and Robert Walker in “Strangers on a Train”.


Noir Festival – the festival of timeless style, brings together representatives of the noir film style, literature, photography, comics and many other artistic and pop culture forms. Noir Festival brings movie classics but also premieres the latest movie hits inspired by noir. Noir Festival is also a literary festival hosted by world authors who dominate the world’s top charts of the bestseller.
Noir Festival is an author’s project of Zagreb’s PRiredba.

Saša Šekoranja is an academic painter who has been engaged in designing, designing flowers, making scenography, illustrations and painting for many years. During his career, Saša has worked on several projects – from individual and group exhibitions in Croatia and abroad, media, television shows, fashion shows to scenography for various events such as festivals, theater performances, and concerts. His works always bring a new perspective on art, creating unforgettable creations that have lasting and true value.
