Saturday, May 16th, 2015 From 18h until midnight
O3ONE Art Space (Uzun Mirkova 10) celebrates this year Night of Museums in cooperation with the humanitarian initiative KILOMETER OF HAIR. On Saturday, May 16th, from 18h until midnight, we organize a public haircut and arty-party.
KILOMETER OF HAIR was created as an expression of the goodwill of young people to help children who suffer from hair loss. Through modern ways of communication, primarily Facebook social network, they have prompted many people to donate their hair (15 cm or more) for custom-made wigs. Wigs are provided with the assistance of NURDOR to those who need them. The goal is, as the name says, a kilometer of hair, and they reached 350 meters of hair and made eight wigs. It’s time for us to help them in reaching that goal!
O3ONE Art Space invites you to visit us at the Night of Museums and join the Initiative. This event will be accompanied by activation specially designed for this occasion to provide additional assistance to the Initiative, both in the hair collection and the money needed for making wigs. Different artists will make their drawings/pictures of hairstyles and other hairdressers that will be projected on the gallery wall. Visitors will be able to choose a hairstyle, take photos, and using #KilometarKose (kilometer of hair) post their pictures.
The campaign was supported by photographer Braca Nedić, the author of the current exhibition in O3ONE.
Art always needs support, and art is support for someone.
Hair, for a smile under a little nose!
We’re expecting you!
