Confucius Institute in Belgrade, Chi gong association in Serbia and O3one are representing the exhibition that is dedicated to Shanghai in the period from 1920 until 1941.

As mister Radosav Pušić institute director sad “When we look back to past events and try to remember them, there are usually places and people that marked that time. Usually, they are celebrities from the world of entertainment, film, music. So for this show, I chouse out Chinese film and music celebrities: Jou Souen, Hu Die, Juan Ling, and famous places of that time like movie theater: “Odeon”, one of the first cinemas; Cathay cinema, which opened on January 1st, 1932 with 1080 seats, and today has a status of the building of national importance; huge department store “Shanghai big world”, which is painted on the postcard, and hippodrome for horses and dogs, which gathered elite part society of that time. The most important street in Shanghai – Nanjing street.”

The Confucius Institute in Belgarde was officially opened on August 27th, 2006 at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgarde. The goal of the Institute is to promote Chinese culture and language; better relationships between people of Serbia and China; connecting all individuals and institutions in Serbia who are dealing in any way with Chinese language and culture; creating a reference database of all materials on Chinese language and culture that are available in Serbia, as well as other activities and educational cooperation between Serbia and China.

Within the exhibition, a lecture will be held on September 15th, 2009 starting at 18h, entitled “Window into the Chinese world” – a new cycle of linguistic and culture lectures at the Confucius Institute.  The first institute that was created in different surroundings
