On Thursday, November 17th, 2016 at 19h in the Pro3or Gallery, the Center of Balance will be held for the second time “BG Drum Circle” – the celebration of free rhythm
The organizers of the Belgrade “drumming circle” invite all percussionists and drummers, masters and rookies to join with their talent and feel for the rhythm and instruments, as well as the audience who knows and wants to dance with the rhythms of the world with their rattles, whistles, percussion instruments, to come on Thursday, November 17th, 2016, 19:00h-21:00h; at the Pro3or Gallery (Koče Popovića no.9).
The drum circle is any group of people that plays percussions and hand drums within a circle in a community. The free rhythmic expression is a goal for itself and tolerance and listening to others accepting and transitioning rhythmic phrases by individual inspiration, a kind of musical dialogue is a distinctive picture of the ancient cultures. It always includes people of all ages, without a leader or elder. The only goal is achieving musical harmonization and forming a common consciousness. The free rhythm is an irresistible call of dance, vocal and everyday improvisation. Twenty years since “Noises at 19:30h” when the drum circle rhythm spread across the streets of Serbia.
