Bizart nagrada

Bizart award for the most successful partnership between art/design and business sectors, was established this year by the Republic of Serbia Ministry of Culture, and it was presented to O3ONE on 14th of March 2006.
O3ONE project was founded by Orange studio and it would not have been possible without the help of City of Belgrade Assembly and the cooperation with Yugoslav Gallery of Artworks.
Success of O3ONE is a result of a joint effort of all O3one partners in 2004 and 2005: YU Epicentar, Eunet, B92, Si&Si Company, Flos, Kreon, Vizartis, DPC, HP, Intertrio, Hot&Fresh.

Gallery of the Year, an award initiated by TV Metropolis in 2004, was presented to O3ONE during the New Year Special, on 31st December 2005. O3ONE was voted Gallery of the year by TV Metropolis’s editors of cultural programme, which reflects the reaction of a very specific population being that TV Metropolis is a University TV station.

In the organization of the Museum of Vojvodina and the marketing  agency Publicite, Novi Sad was a host of the Xth exhibition of best calendars

„NEW DANDY“ – exhibition by Predrag Pedja Nešković, held last October in O3one art space, was voted Exhibition of the Year 2007 and given Politika’s Fine Art Award „Vladislav Ribnikar”.  This exhibition was warmly received by the public and art critics alike. It was also reviewed by the panel of judges as a very studious and professionally developed project which moved the boundaries of artistic expression forward. It’s honor that we recognized the high level of creativity and art quality of this project and participated in its production and organization.

It is our pleasure that, in the twelve best exhibitions in 2007, there was another exhibition held in O3one – “Moment of asymmetric silence”  by Sasa Pancic. Realizing these, and many other projects inside its program, O3one succeeded to affirm its own position in Serbian cultural scene and to contribute its development and quality.
Additional information about Predrag Nešković and “NEW DANDY” exhibition can be found at O3one web site.

About the Politika’s award and the best exhibition in 2007, Slavko Timotijevic, Head Judge, said: “If we avoid the traditional complaints about the extremely complex and difficult work of the judges, which isn’t that far from the truth, we are left to comprehend two things. The first one takes into account this year’s artistic scene which has been extremely rich but, paradoxically, very even, full of layers and disturbingly unpredictable.

The second thing is concerned with the criteria of the award. “Politica’s Award” is a traditional and prestigious award for visual creation which has an impact on the formulation of the main artistic direction. There was several misunderstandings due to a very constant mix up and inability to separate the main direction from alternative occurrences, and with these kinds of decisions, both last year’s and this year’s, our judges wanted to point out the very thorough and stable qualities of the artistic scene which makes up the main artistic direction. In this way, we hoped to show other institutions and new and upcoming corporations, which are turning up more and more recently as givers of important awards, that it is vital to also cover other happenings and aspects of the artistic scene and the hard work that artists put in. This year, the list of finalists is made up of artists from various generations, and it’s unnecessary to mention that their works are similar in quality to the winner’s work. Just like in many situations similar to this one, the final decisions where made on the finest of details.

From the list of finalists, which consists of the works of: Anica Vucetic, Vladan Radovanovic, Cedomir Vasic, Branimir Karanovic, Pedja Neskovic i Slobodan Trajkovic, the judges picked Pedja Neskovic’s exhibition and gave him this year’s “Politika’s Award” for the independent exhibition and project named “NEW DANDY”. On a platform of multi-medial character in gallery Ozon, Predrag Neskovic, in a provocative, positive, but ironic way, covered the problems of art, behavior and fashion from the one side, and universal problems of social relationships in the context of time, from the other side. He did this through the mediums of video, photography, objects, accessories and photo-screens. This exhibition represents the highest professionalism, goes into great detail and covers diverse genres, which allows for the extension of artistic boundaries.
The visible and plentiful effort of Predrag Neskovic is evident in his attempt to join two worlds – the world of every day life colored with the triviality, childishness and kitsch, with the world of art in which these sensations articulate into one, slightly more complicated artistic answer, which all together constantly contribute to his work being a hot topic.”

Golden recognition for the O3ONE-s outdoor campaign

Association of the trade propagandist of Serbia awarded O3ONE with “Golden recognition”  for an unprofitable outdoor campaign.
O3one campaign presented a series of billboards with old national maxims and mazes that, together with the modern design, attracted the attention of the citizens of Serbia, leaving them the possibility to understand them in different ways.

Campaign was realized in 2007 and 2008 by the Orange studio team, upon the O3ONE-s initiative, together with Alma Quattro and DPC. Our citizens can see these billboards not only on the streets of Belgrade, but Serbia wide.Lead by the idea that the billboards that we see on the streets don’t always have to have a material benefit, we wonted to give a new dimension to the billboards. O3one billboards have the mission to make our town prettier, to cherish humor, to make you smile, but most of all to motivate the observers to think back on our national wisdoms and to find an easier solution to many riddles by looking at them from a different prospective.

In the organization of the Museum of Vojvodina and the marketing  agency Publicite, Novi Sad was a host of the XIIIth exhibition of best calendars,  among which  O3ONE & Raiffeisen bank calendar found its deserving place. This art calendar presented 12 artistic works which were exhibited at O3ONE during 2008, and was successful in fulfilling all criteria : artistic concept, diversity of subjects, interesting design, good lay-out, excellent communication, and for all these reasons was awarded a prize.
For this XIIIth exhibition of calendars, professional opinion and judgment was given by the panel of experts including: Miroslav Mušić, theoretician and design critic (president), Laslo Kapitanj, designer, Martin Candir and Dragan Kurucić, photo-designers, Radule Bošković, fine artist, Milka Popović, curator of the Museum of Vojvodina, Dušan Pop Đurđev, poet and Vladimir Čeh, a marketing expert.

This year, DISRUPTION award goes to O3ONE

This year’s award for „disruptive“ way of thinking and working, went to project O3ONE. Guided by the idea „think globally, act locally“, and insisting on creativity and different approach to work, the project managed to acquire the trust of its audience but also of the agency LUNA TBWA, and to win Disruption award for 2009.
„Disruption is the main characteristic of the TBWA, but it is a well known philosophy to all who live in Serbia. The way of life, the habits and the endless creativity were the inspiration for LUNA TBWA to establish Disruption award, which is given once every year to those who succeed by changing the rules.  Disruption award is our way of expressing admiration to individuals and companies in Serbia who deserved it“.
First award was given in 2004 to Ivan Tasovac, director of the Belgrade Philharmonic, who managed to change and popularize the perception of the classical music and the philharmonic orchestra. In 2005 laureate was Saša Lozoski, painter and designer who thought of and was brave enough to organize a fashion show in an orthodox church, and in December  2006, the award was given to Miomir Korać, for the project „Viminacium“.

Politika’s award

Exhibition “Little diary III” by Raša Todosijević, presented at O3ONE last September, was voted the Best Exhibition of the Year 2009
„Award for the Best Exhibition of the Year 2009 given by „Politika”, this year went to two authors – Marija Dragojlović for the exhibition of paintings „Rouge Noir” which was presented at the Art gallery „Nadežda Petrović” in Čačak (November 2009), (and later on at the National Museum in Kruševac) and to Dragoljub Raša Todosijević for the exhibition of works titled „Little diary 3” presented at „O3ONE” in September 2009.
This year the panel of judges decided to choose two laureates because in their opinion, both of these exhibitions are exceptional in their own way; also, they are two very different artistic expressions”.
Working with Raša Todosijević was very awarding for the O3ONE team, and all the more so since the exhibition won this acclaimed prize which is given for the “exceptional artistic achievement“, it is a recognition for the artist’s body of work, for those crowned with originality which pushes the boundaries of art expression forward”.
According to the opinion of the O3ONE art council Raša Todosijevic is at the very top of the Serbian contemporary artistic scene, and his work is well known and appreciated abroad. The panel of judges in their explanation of their choice said:
„Raša Todosijević is a performing and a new media artist, but also a painter, a sculptor, a master of drawing, a writer and a good art critique, in every sense a very special personality on our art scene, he is extraordinary according to international standards too. He belongs to that group of artists who did a radical u-turn at the end of the sixties, and beginning of the seventies and distanced themselves from the ideology and the practice of the socialist modernism and connected themselves to the new and arising international art scene in the moment of its making. Since then and up until now, despite the constant risk of the artistic current going upstream and back to its local starting point, we owe a great deal to this particular author as a lone ambassador of our art, for keeping us in touch with the international art scene and all the vital and vibrant processes happening at the international level.„
